Paying Taxes

Digot of The Day (Session 134):

WIS - Premium% - 7.6596 - Gain - .4274%

This digot has the lowest premium, and it appears that the premium prices are going up. This makes it even more important to search the trading house for discounted digots. One thing you can do to make sure you are not missing any of the deals is to set your Maximum digot value to the amount you plan to spend from Reserve Balance. That way, it limits the selection to what you can actually buy.

QOD: George asks - Does dxinone send out any tax forms to us? How is this taxed?

I have not heard of DXInOne sending out any tax forms. They are not a company from the United States, but from Vanuatu. However, if you earn an income, you are most likely required to pay some type of tax here in the U.S. I suggest you consult with a Certified Public Accountant who has experience with foreign investments. Also, you can find out some of the tax rules at the Internal Revenue Service. Another good idea would be to send a thread to support asking your question, as they will know more about whether or not they send out statements of income.

Thanks for the question George!

WIS up to .4292

Digot of The Day (Session 133):

VIR - Premium% - 5.6769 - Gain - .2188

I did not buy VIR today because I found a deal on WIS in the trading house. Make sure you check there first before you buy anything! VIR is the cheapest digot today, if you can't find anything else.

It seems the gains are going up a bit. WIS shot up to .4292% and WAS up to .2782%.

I've sent a question to DXInOne regarding the launch of Tradebiz. When we get the reply, we'll post it here.

Trading House Digots

Digot of The Day (Session 132):

OKL - Premium% - 4.8370 - Gain - .2107

QOD:Why buy digots from the trading house?

Lately, the digots in the trading house have been looking very nice. I remember a time when they were scarce. When buying from the TH, you can usually buy the digots with a discount. Of course, there are always digots in there with a 0% discount, but lately I've seen discounts up to 15%.

First, I go to the Digot Data page on DX4Dummies and sort by Premium Percent. Scrolling down to the bottom, I find the lowest percentages and write those down. Then I go to the Trading House and select the USD currency and put in a minimum of 2% discount. Next, I choose to list up to 200 digots and then submit it.
This morning, I found some OKL at 2% discount. Do the math:
OKL Premium% - discount% = 2.8370%

The Trading House is a great way to save some money and keep your credit line even lower.

Still no news on TradeBiz or DXCodeHunters. I did have a silly dream about being a codehunter last night. It was RPG style, and i couldn't find the last code, but I did get away from the enemies. LOL

What is the DXGlobal Payment Console

Digot of The Day (Session 128):

NYC - Premium - 4.5385% - Gain - .1880

What is the DXGlobal Payment Console?

Many businesses online are always looking for more ways to be convenient for their customers. So, they place several links on their payment page for customers to use to make their payments. This means checking several accounts, a messy looking payment page, and too many statements to load and compile into one simple statement.

Customers and businesses are also concerned with identity theft. Many people's private and personal information such as credit card and bank account numbers are being stolen and illegally used by thieves who hack into business websites to steal information.

To solve these two problems, DXInOne has built the DXGlobal Payment Console. Here is how DXInOne describes the
DXGPC:
The DXGlobal Payment Console is one of the most exciting services to be provided by the DXBusiness range of services. The DXGlobal Payment Console allows businesses to integrate a single payment method onto their web site and simplify their transactions between their customers. With over 30 payment services and over 50 payment options the DXGlobal Payment Console is just the solution you're looking for.

By providing a central management console for your payments you can eliminate the need to have multiple payment buttons on your web site and allow you to present your checkout in a clean and professional manner.

Best of all, the DXGlobal Payment Console can be used and implemented for FREE and even better still...more.

DXInOne has built a very secure system that I feel safe using. I know that my account and portfolio are safe, as they have implemented quite a few security features.

Speaking of security, it is rumored also that DXInOne is developing an Iris Scanner for commercial use, but they have not revealed whether or not this is true. If you have any further information, please write!

A Revelation is coming

Digot of The Day (Session 127):

VIR - Premium% - 4.8673 - Gain - .2217%

Today is the day that all announced changes have taken effect. I hope you have prepared for your OA fees. Now that this has taken place, what is next, you might ask.

Barring any further 'put offs' DXInOne will be launching TradeBiz on September 25, 2005. Take a little extra time to list those URLs, if you are a Marketing Editor.
If not, let me tell you why you should be one!

Here is a quote from DXInOne:
DXTradeBiz works by connecting business with a Marketing Editor who has a vested interest in taking care of that business's advertising needs on the Internet. It's not necessary to work with any of your Client List, just simply list the domain name and allow the DXSystem to introduce the option of advertising to the business.

Marketing Editor earn generous commissions from the advertising revenue that is generated by that businesses advertising activity. Marketing Editor can also earn from other ME's who are working beneath them in a ME group.

If a Marketing Editor has registered a business but they are not actively working with that business for their advertising needs, they can relinquish the URL for another ME to take over, add it to their Client List and begin or continue working with the business.

Marketing Editor commissions are paid following the full payment of an advertising campaign by the business. * Commissions (up to 40%) are paid into a nominated DXAccount and are instantly available for use throughout the DXSystem.

Please Note:
* This option is still being finilized and may be subject to change.

A fellow DXer is working on a project to make it easier to list these URLs and I plan to reveal this to you very soon.

Tangible Evidence is here!

Digot of The Day (Session 126):

KEN - Premium - 4.7157 - Gain - .2085

We bought VIR yesterday, and it shot to the top of the gains list at .2222% YES!

QOD:Tangible evidence of what??

That DXInOne is a legitimate company, preparing for a full public launch any day now. The evidence is in, these verification letters! Some members at DX4Dummies is reporting receipt of the address verification letters, apparently postmarked from Vanuatu! Go DX!
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

We have been waiting for these actual letters for quite a while now, and its very satisfying to hear that DX is finally sending them out.

Don't forget that we have a bunch of rule changes happening tomorrow. And something else to look forward to is the launch of TradeBiz on September 25th. We will have plenty to discuss when this happens. Be sure to register for the blog update if you haven't done so yet.

Phasing out DXDA to RB

Digot of The Day (Session 125):

VIR Premium - 4.8889 - Gain - .2227

QOD Asked by TW: I'm new on the block so I'm trying to understand the implications of the phasing out of DXDebit to RB. I've only been at it five days and have trippled my my TDV with the help of DXAvailable. If I understand the flow chart, one would have to outxchange from DXDebit and then inxchange to manage the use of the RB of the PF. Ultimately, what is going to happen to DXDebit? Is it going to be managed similarly to the way it had been managed in the past or will it eventually disappear? Any clarification you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Part of the issue is that you are not 100% DXDebit Qualified yet. This means that you are not allowed to access all of your DXDebit on a daily basis. After 30 days of activity, you should be at 100%. You are correct in that you will have to outX and InX to the Reserve Balance in order to buy more digots after the DXDA to RB is phased out. See the funds flow chart here. The thing that would worry me is that you do have to pay an outX fee of 2.85% (I think?) and possibly a fee to whichever ecurrency you are outxing to. This means that you will lose a small part of your gains to do this. But, if your main goal is to build your portfolio, do it slowly and keep your TDV/DXDU ratio below 50%.

According to DXInOne, if your TDV/DXDU ratio is above 80%, you will no longer have the option to transfer from DXDA to RB beginning September 21, 2005. For 30 days that 80% will decrease 1% daily for 30 days, at which time it will be completely gone. For example if you now have a 70% ratio, after September 31, you cannot transfer anymore to RB.

The moral of the story? Transfer what you can now and get your fees into incoming before this date. Again, its September 21, 2005. Good luck!

Goodbye to the Reversal tool

Digot of the Day
KEN - Premium% - 4.4755 - Gain - .2102

We bought FLR yesterday and it gained over .27% !!! YAY!

Say Goodbye to the Reversal tool

DX Portfolio users have traditionally had the ability to move funds from DXDebit to DX Available Balance. For a short while, we have also been able to reverse our decisions to do this. Some folks have been using this reversal tool to cancel outexchanges and increase their TDV/DXDU ratio.

Along with other changes we have been discussing, this reversal tool will be removed on September 21, 2005. If you have any fund movements that can be reversed, or wish to cancel any outexchanges to get the funds back to DXDebit Available, you must do so before this date.

Phasing out DXDebit Available to Reserve Balance

Since the inception of portfolios in the DXGold/DXInOne System, users have always had the option to move DXDebit Available to the Reserve Balance. We have done this to increase the value of our portfolios much faster. Apparently, DXInOne intends to slow the growth of our portfolios by phasing out this ability. Their message, I believe, is that the portfolio is not meant to be an investment. It is a storage system, and a tool to increase how much float a console owner can use to process exchanges.

I do speculate that DXInOne wants those floats to be big enough to handle the business that will be coming in, and intends to reward those who have a decent float via the bonuses they get for doing the processing. It will be possible to earn from the portfolio, but maybe not as fast as some "get rich quick" types would want. This really is a business, and it takes work to earn anything.

Keep the eyelids open for more information on the upcoming changes!

DXDU Incremental Fees Changed

Digot of The Day (Session 121):
FLR Prem% - 4.6140 - Gain - .1831

QOD:Tell me about the changes to the DXDU incremental fees.
On September 21, 2005, DX is making several changes. The fees will now be paid, IF you pay them from the Available balance only. No fees will be added to the discounted fee, which is paid from the Incoming balance. This means that you must inexchange to incoming in order to pay fees. Furthermore, on this date, the function to move funds from DXDA to Incoming will be removed.

This does seem to make it harder to pay OA fees, as we have to wait for the outexchange from Available to take place. But, DX assures us that the OutX speeds will be improving along with these changes.

As a result of this, I intend to pay the discounted fee. And since I do have some funds in my DXDA from trying to get the TDV/DXDU ratio down, I plan to move some of that to Incoming to pay a month or two of fees. I will be doing this before September 21 since the function to move DXDA to Incoming will be removed.

Keep an eye on us here for more discussion of the new changes by subscribing to our blog.

Using Average Gain

Digot of The Day (Session 119):
ANT - Premium - 4.5878 - Gain - 1868

Lately, I have been taking a look at the Average Gain statistics, as another criteria for picking digots. Some digots traditionally do better than others. To find some statistics to help you figure out your own strategy, use the Digot Data link on DX4Dummies. I use it every day after EOS to decide which digots to buy. When you get there, sort the digots by clicking on the average gain% link. The digots will be listed in order. Starting with the highest average gainers, see which ones have a decent premium. I like to buy the ones below 5%, but 6% might be better if you use average gain as a criteria.

I am not liking WAS today as the gain was the lowest, and I have quite a bit of this. Thankfully, I stopped buying it recently and have focused on balancing my portfolio. My gains for Session 118 were .18%

While patiently waiting for Tradebiz to launch, I am taking comfort in the fact that we are still seeing daily gains. They have dropped lately, but I am not worried, as I am expecting them to pick up soon.

VIR - Premium - 4.7511% - Gain - .2268

Welcome to all of our new visitors, and thanks for sending in your questions. Sometimes, the answers require some research, and we are going to answer them as quickly as possible. However, we do need to rest at times, and do like to take Sundays as our QOD day off.

But, before signing off for the day, I would like to say that we are looking for some very exciting times in the near future. The release of TradeBiz is around the corner, and I am so excited to see what it will bring us.

I, for one, am not too worried about all the latest changes, as I see the big picture (what can be seen), and it sure is awesome. Just make sure to get your DXDU down as much as possible. It seems it will be beneficial in ways we haven't seen yet.

Grave or Mountain

Digot of The Day (Session 116):
HAW - Premium% 5.2577 - Gain .2066

The new fee structure seems to have a lot of members shaken up a bit. Lets just say that DXIO has given us some very clear information about what exactly this portfolio is all about. Please see News Article 24. I truly believe that this article clears up many questions, and will help you understand exactly what we are doing here.

Understandably, the non console owners are wondering "just how am I going to get my DXDU below 50% if I can't get the console gains and the digot gains are slipping???"
Good question to ask! I am certain there is hope. We do know that TradeBiz is going to be launching Sept. 25th. If you have not signed up to be a Marketing Editor yet, I encourage you to do so, as this will be another way to earn from DXIO. Other services will be launching, and we will have the opportunity to earn from each of these.

It seems clear to me that we have a choice here. Either I see all the changes and additional fees as digging my grave, or I can see it as building up this mountain even higher. And we will truly be King of the Mountain.

More News!
DXIO seems to be working behind the scenes on TradeBiz. According to News Article 25 the Marketing Editor can utilize the UTF-8 character set in order to register multilingual sites. We are definitely going global! Please read the instructions in the article to update any sites in another language.

How do I get my ecurrency funded?

Good day friends!

A note of caution for you here. DXInOne has imposed a set of fees on your DXDebit Used. This is copied from the DX Help topic:
Applicable from September 21st.

NEW INCREMENT

A revised ‘Increment’ on the OA fee has been set in place to advantage DXUsers in managing their Used DXDebit within their own capabilities thus creating a more balanced portfolio.

The ‘Increment’ charges now apply to the ‘Discounted’ OA fee (Incoming Balance) and ‘Standard’ (Available Balance, Reserve Balance and Available DXDebit) to all portfolios with a Used DXDebit percentage higher than 50% of the TDV.

Increment % Values
0 – 50% of DXDebit Used =0%
51 – 60% of DXDebit Used = 0.25%
61 – 70% of DXDebit Used = 0.50%
71 – 80% of DXDebit Used = 0.75%
81 – 90% of DXDebit Used = 1.00%
91 – 100% of DXDebit Used = 1.25%

To view an ideal scenario for a portfolio see DXHelp Topic ID #656.
To view how to use the Balance Manager see DXHelp Topic ID #657.

ONLY BUY DIGOTS FROM YOUR RESERVE BALANCE TO GET YOUR DXDU DOWN!

Digot of The Day (Session ):
KEN Premium% - 4.9716 - Gain .2135

Question of the Day: Jerry asks - "I'm a newbie; have an DXinone account, but have been unable to figure out how to fund it. Can I use my Texas State Bank Account, should I create a Wells Fargo account? I have set up an e-gold account but don't know how to get funds to it. Any help you can give this 76 year old Grandpa will be appreciated. Oh I live in the Texas valley RGV that is

Sir, thank you for taking the time to ask your question! There are many ways to fund your account. One option is to complete a bank transfer directly from your bank account into your DX account. Your e-gold account can be funded by bank deposit or credit card at GoldNow. They charge 15% on the credit card, and 5% on direct bank transfers. Unfortunately, there is no really cheap or super fast way to get your account funded through these market makers.

Why is my DXDA going down?

Digot of The Day (Session 113):
USA - Premium% - 5.4972 - Gain - .1961
MAS - Premium% - 5.3970 - Gain - .1787
NSW - Premium% - 4.5157 - Gain - .2922

I did pick one digot that is not a USD choice. It is actually AUD. I notice that it performs fairly well, and have very little of AUD in my port. Normally I stick with USD, but lately, all the premiums have been over 5%.

Question of the Day:
Ewald asks - One of my portfolios is now by 891 TDV. Last week I got every day 40 - 45 DXD and now I get only 30 DXD per Day.
Is this normal?
Thank you!

This is a common question asked by newer portfolio owners. One factor that affects how much DXDA (DXDebit Available) you receive is the percentage to which you are 100% DXDebit Qualified. For example, if you are 80% DXDebit Qualified, then you are only allowed to move 80% of your DXDA to your Reserve Balance.

Another factor is the digots you are buying. If your portfolio was begun with one currency, and you are buying digots of another currency, it could cause you to receive negative currency exchange at EOS (End of Session). You can find out whether you are getting negative or positive gains by using 'Detail by session'. The CE (currency exchange) will be listed in the same area as your EOS credits.
I recommend that you try to buy digots in your own currency. I set my portfolio to be USD based, and I mostly buy USD digots.

Digot of The Day (Session 112):

WIS - Premium% - 5.1750 - Gain - .2247%
KEN - Premium% - 5.1392 - Gain - .2146%
LOS - Premium% - 5.1180 - Gain - .2003%

None had premiums below 5%. I don't like buying above 5% because it adds even more to my credit line, which in turn reduces my DXDebit Available. But I also have to consider that if I do not buy digots for several days, that is several days of not having gains on those digots. I want the portfolio to keep compounding on itself.

Digot of The Day (Session 111):

CAL - Premium% - 5.1398% - Gain - .1807
There are only three digots in all the currencies below 5% premium.

QOD: What is the premium?
The premium is a percentage of your digot buy price. For example, if you bought 12 CAL digots at .2218 cents each. The total buy price would be $2.6616. Calculate 5.1398% of $2.6616 and your premium price is $0.1368.

This premium price is added to your CL, or credit line. The reason we want to avoid higher premiums is because it causes your DXDA (DXDebit Available) to decrease. I will post the calculation for you soon.

We want to provide the content you are looking for, so be sure to leave a comment on what you would like to see, or questions that we can answer. I'm thinking of listing your name and website link along with the question asked, as an incentive for you.

Now on to business.

Digot of The Day (Session 109):

ARK - 4.4148% Premium - .2094 Gain
ANT - 4.4935 Premium - .2290 Gain
HOU - 4.7291 Premium - .1974 Gain

One of our picks from yesterday, PIT, got a .2629 gain, running second place behind WAS at .2903 gain. This digot screen will give you all the digots to look at, including premiums, prices, and gains. On this screen you have all the digots that have gained more than 7% total in the last 30 days. And here are the USD digots.

QOD: Why aren't my links in adsXposed being clicked on yet?

The links will not be clickable until TradeBiz is launched, which is supposed to happen on Sept. 5th. This is a quote from the DXInOne site:
DXTradeBiz is a revolutionary service providing businesses with the opportunity to initiate and manage marketing campaigns that can guarantee advertisement positioning and placement within the DXSystem and related services. Business can opt for a CPC (Cost Per Click) or customized advertising campaign, with ability to use locality targeting to attract the customers they really want!

DXTradeBiz can connect a business to a Marketing Editor in their local area to ensure an advertising campaign is exactly as the business wants it to be, and at competitive prices! DXTradeBiz operates with an expanding number of partners that can provide broader exposure for any business wanting their products and services to be seen by more customers.

Serious QOD

Digot of The Day (Session 108): PIT - Premium - 4.727% - Gain - .2196%
Another option is WIS at 4.9774 Premium% and gain of .2268%. Have you noticed that when I bought the USA digot yesterday, it showed up as the top gainer today at .3246%! I am loving this! It looks like sometimes the lowest gainers one day become the highest gainer the next day. But I'm no statistician. Maybe you math guys can prove or disprove this theory?

QOD: Today, this question must be related to something other than DX. Have you done anything to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina?
As a Louisiana resident, I am very lucky that we only went without power for 24 hours. There are thousands upon thousands of folks from the Orleans Parish, St. Charles Parish, Plaquemine Parish, and more that are now displaced. Homeless and physically ill. They have been running rescue missions for several days now, trying to find survivors and thankfully, they have found many. The refugees stretch all the way to Tennessee, Houston, and a few other places.

Please donate to the American Red Cross. They are responsible for many shelters and need assistance in feeding and caring for all these refugees. Answer yes to the QOD. Show your compassionate side. Thank you for your help.

What is a digot?

Digot of The Day (Session 107): USA - Premium - 4.4364% - Yesterday's gain - .1988

Another option is ANT which is not a USD digot, but is pegged to the USD currency, just as DXG is. The premium is 4.7455% and yesterday's gains were .1917 WAS gained very nicely with .4386.

When buying digots, avoid high premiums. I generally buy the digots that are priced below 5 percent, and only USD currency as I live in the US.

QOD for September 1, 2005
What is a digot?
A Digot is a unit in the form of digital value that is determined by the activity and fluctuation of a country or city. Digot are assigned in the form of a Symbol, such as ANT, WAS, or USA. In the system, if you click on the symbol, it will bring you to a page that shows what country or city that symbol represents. WAS represents Washington in the United States. DXG is the currency that belongs to DXInOne and is pegged to the USD.
